Taking their places

The Places Victoria board has been rounded out, with an additional three members appointed last month.

Planning Minister Matthew Guy announced the appointment of Tamara Brezzi, Robert Goudswaard and Graeme Parton as the new, independent board members.

They join current board members, Christine Wyatt, deputy secretary of the Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure and Garry Phibbs, senior commercial advisor of the Department of Treasury and Finance.

“Places Victoria is now in a strong position to focus on its core urban renewal mandate,” Mr Guy said.

“It has been tasked with the important role of working closely with both government and the private sector to unlock the potential of urban development sites and revitalise neighbourhoods.”

“The new board members join chairperson Christine Wyatt and deputy chairperson Garry Phibbs in leading Places Victoria towards future successes.”

Tamara Brezzi is a planning and environment lawyer and a qualified town planner. She is also president of the Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association.

Robert Goudswaard has worked in senor executive roles with ANZ and managed risk for the institutional division of Institutional Global during the global financial crisis.

Graeme Parton has served on the Places Victoria board previously. He has more than 35 years experience in the property development and construction industry.
