Pedal pusher

26 Oct 2010

Pedal pusher Image

Docklander Tara Adams is taking pedal pushing to new heights.

The Boyd resident (right) is one of the first people in the country to take advantage of a curious Dutch invention which is half bicycle and half stroller.

In Tara’s case, she transports two children around Docklands and the inner city.

“I first saw the Taga online early this year and made contact with the Australian distributor,” Tara said.  “I’ve since become an ‘ambassador’ for the product.”

Three-and-a-half-year-old Isidora and 11-month-old Clarrie are now both well used to zooming around the bike paths of Docklands catching the eye of curious onlookers.

The young family has been living in Docklands since September last year and loves it here.

“My husband and I lived here in a serviced apartment six years ago and the progress has been amazing,” Tara said.

“Even now, there’s always something new.  And it’s a nice community to move into.  It’s a transient community, but very welcoming.”
