Ministerial story time

Local Government Minister Jeanette Powell took story-time at the Docklands Hub on June 22 when she announced $400,000 funding for books for Docklands new library.
The funding is over and above $8.2 million the State Government has already committed to build the library via Places Victoria. The City of Melbourne is contributing $4.75 million.
Construction of the 2900sqm library and community centre is due to start this month at Dock Square on the corner of Collins and Bourke streets and is expected to be completed by October next year.
The facility will feature a variety of library spaces including children, youth, seniors, multimedia, music/media, flexible activity space, community meeting rooms and an entertainment hub.
