An exhibition of images at South Wharf this month goes some way to defining what makes Melbourne marvellous.

Titled, MARVELLOUS MEBOURNE – Its Art and Soul, the show features 20 artists who capture the city’s uniqueness in paintings, drawings, prints, photos and 3-D works.

Artists include, painters: Ivan Durrant, Geoff La Gerche, Anne Marie Graham, Daniel Moynihan, John Spooner, Tom Alberts, James Pasakos, Jim van Geet, Christine Wrest-Smith and Fay Plamka; photographers: Bill Bachman, Peter Garnick, Roger Gould, Thomas Conger and Tony Summers; along with textile artist: Robina Summers; mosaic artist: Pamela Irving and street artists: “Adnate” and “Slicer’”

MARVELLOUS MELBOURNE is on display until June 30 at the Hilton Melbourne, South Wharf.

Images highlight Melbourne’s love of sport and the arts, its parks and gardens, fashion focus, laneways and street café life, inner and surrounding suburbs, transport and shipping industry and unique architecture.
