Make time for tea

Local restaurant Berth is gearing up for its annual Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser this month.

The NewQuay restaurant hopes to top last year’s result of $6000 with its “high-tea” style event on May 26.

The annual Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea event sees fundraising morning teas held across Australia to raise funds for the Cancer Council.

Berth invites local residents and workers to join in the fun this year for a morning of door prizes, auctions, fun, games and a variety of hot beverages, sweets and savouries.

The Berth Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea will be held from 11am on Thursday, May 26.
