Lawyers head to Docklands

Legal firm Maddocks will join KPMG as tenants of Docklands’ tallest commercial building.

Maddocks last month signed a 10-year lease to occupy three floors of Walker Corporation’s Tower 2 at Collins Square.

The firm will move from its current office at 140 William St, following the trend of businesses re-locating to Docklands.

“We are very excited to be moving into new, modern facilities with first class amenities in a large city development,” Maddocks CEO Michelle Dixon said.

“Collins Square brings us close to a large number of clients and gives us an opportunity to bring our people together in a premium collaborative working environment.”

Walker Corporation chairman Lang Walker welcomed news of a new tenant at Collins Square.

“We are excited to welcome prestigious law firm Maddocks to Collins Square, reinforcing its position as Melbourne’s leading new commercial, retail and hospitality precinct,” Mr Walker said.

The 38-storey Tower 2 building is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in mid-2016.

Accounting firm KPMG is the buildings anchor tenant and will lease close to 30,000 sqm.
