Joh goes around again

Joh goes around again

Joh Maxwell has taken the reins at the Docklands Chamber of Commerce as president for the fifth consecutive year.

With some unrealised projects, Mrs Maxwell is staying on to best ensure their success in 2019.

At the chamber’s annual general meeting on November 13, Mrs Maxwell outlined an action-packed program for the new year.

She said the chamber was supporting a public Christmas carols event at The District Docklands on Friday, December 21, to be closely followed by another spectacular New Year’s Eve celebration on Harbour Esplanade.

Mrs Maxwell also promised a great Australia Day event in Docklands, and said the chamber was taking lead role in the City of Melbourne’s traditional “summer campaign”.

The new executive committee is:

Johanna Maxwell – Docklands Chauffeurs;

Glenda Archibald – Archibald Builders;

Kerry York – NRY Plumbing;

Melissa Forester – Bendigo Bank;

Mo Hamdouna – Moworks;

Daniel Hibberd – Quest Docklands;

Justin Jones – Accor;

Cameron Baker – Sebel Docklands; and

Nicole Hill – Melbourne Star.

At a special general meeting immediately after the AGM, the following were elected:

President: Johanna Maxwell;

Vice-president: Daniel Hibberd;

Treasurer: Glenda Archibald; and

Secretary: Melissa Forester.
