“Huey” at home in Docklands

Celebrity chef Iain “Huey” Hewitson is to call Docklands home for the next two years.

“Huey” will be filming his television show Huey’s Cooking Adventures from a specially-fitted out “studio” at Waterfront City.

Restaurateur Lou Jovanovski said he heard that Mr Hewitson was looking for new premises and invited him to Docklands.

“I thought it would be really hard, but as soon as he saw Docklands he said yes,” Mr Jovanovski said.  “He just loved it.”

A deal involving promotion of Waterfront City in exchange for premises was hammered out between the Mr Hewitson, the Rivers Group and ING Real Estate.

“Everyone has worked really hard on this and Greg Boyd, Nattalie Hallert, Louise Martin and all the guys at Rivers deserve all the credit,” Mr Jovanovski said.

Mr Jovanovksi said Huey’s Cooking Adventures would air nearly 300 times a year on Channel 10.  He said the promotional value for Docklands was invaluable. “It will lift the profile of the precinct in a really big way,” he said.

In between filming, the public visiting Waterfront City will be welcome to see inside the studio which fronts the Waterfront City Piazza.  And episodes of the show will be shown on the big screen.
