Fete fun at Gowrie

Fete fun at Gowrie

Gowrie Victoria Docklands celebrated its fourth annual fete on October 6 and by all reports it was “a huge success”.

Children who attend the centre spent September busily preparing for the fete and were included in all stages of planning.

They created posters to advertise the day, helped with baking treats and made craft items to sell.

According to Gowrie educator Kristin Falzon, the day was a huge success with record numbers attending the fete at Gowrie’s rooftop garden.

“Each year the event seems to get bigger and bigger and we are always lucky to have a day full of sunshine,” Ms Falzon said.

“There was lots of entertainment and fun activities on the day included face painting, an animal petting zoo, cake decorating, succulent planting, craft stalls and a
sausage sizzle.”
