Docklands courts open
4th April, 2013
Docklands’ new sports courts have officially opened and they’ve already seen a host of thrilling lunchtime matches.
Lord Mayor Robert Doyle and new Places Victoria CEO Peter Seamer were at the courts last month for the opening.
Cr Doyle said the courts were a priority for local residents.
“Community sport is an important part of the fabric of a neighbourhood,” Cr Doyle said.
The new courts provide facilities for soccer, basketball and small-scale soccer.
More information about registering for team competitions at the courts can be found at http://www.melbournecitysports.ymca.org.au/get-active/docklands-sports-courts.html.
