An entertainment wonderland

Docklanders will be spoiled for entertainment options when the Wonderland Spiegeltent “pops up” this month next to Channel Seven.

The tent is being erected on the vacant block on the corner of LaTrobe St and Harbour Esplanade and promises glittering shows and festival events every weekend between now and Christmas.

The beautiful, nostalgic tent will also be accompanied by bars and food trucks.

Spiegeltent owner Melissa Head told Docklands News about some of the attractions on offer.

“The program is still being finalised, but we’ll pretty much have a different show here every weekend,” she said.

Among the offerings are:

Melbourne Fringe Festival;

The Australian Burlesque Festival;

Docklands Blues Music Festival;

A full program of astounding circus Cabaret;

Children’s shows; and

World-class comedy including Dave Hughes, Peter Helliar, AKMAL and, direct from the UK, Mr Methane.

Ms Head said corporations had already booked the circus cabaret show ROUGE as their unique 2017 Christmas event.

“We’ve got so many options, I’m sure we’ll have locals lining up many times in the coming months,” she said.
