The Volvo Ocean Race is the world’s premier offshore race, an exceptional test of sailing prowess and human endeavour, which started over 37 years ago and is held every three years.

This year, after sailing through the southern oceans and the roaring forties the fleet will rest in Victoria Harbour between December 27 and January 2.

Docklands Sunday Markets back to NewQuay Promenade

After a short move away to Harbour Esplanade for Melbourne Day celebrations, the Docklands Sunday market will be heading back to its home along NewQuay Promenade in October. Once again, you can enjoy all the offerings along our waterfront walk every Sunday from 10am to 5pm.

Docklands Chamber of Commerce AGM

The Docklands Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) in November. All current financial members are invited to nominate for the positions of president, vice president, treasurer and secretary or to sit on the executive committee.

All current positions will be vacated prior to the meeting. Nominations are due by close of business Friday, October 27 and details of the event will be posted on our website – http://www.docklandscc.com.au

Docklands Chamber of Commerce Christmas function

We invite all current hospitality members to nominate their interest to host our Christmas function for DCC members. The event will be held in the second week of December.

Mission to Seafarers ANL Art Show

Since 2002 the Mission to Seafarers Victoria’s Maritime Art Awards and Exhibition has showcased the work of over 700 artists and is Australia’s leading maritime art prize.

Prize money awarded to date has exceeded $175,000 and the event has raised over $230,000 toward the provision of seafarers’ welfare services in Victoria.

The Maritime Art Awards and Exhibition is proudly supported by global shipping carrier ANL.

The exhibition is open daily for public viewing from October 6 to October 27th at the historic seafarers’ centre at 717 Flinders St, Docklands from 12 noon – 6pm.
